
PPEF is an educational, charitable, nonprofit organization that awards college scholarships to students who have a parent working in the promotional products industry or who are working for a company in the industry. Since 1989, PPEF has awarded $742,000 in college scholarships to 410 students.
For 2009, $99,000 was awarded in college scholarships. Twenty recipients received renewal payments on scholarships awarded in previous years. Seventy-three new scholarships were awarded: 10 Four-Year College Scholarships, 2 Chairman's College Scholarships and 61 One-Year College Scholarships. Awards are determined through a competitive application process with the winners being announced at the end of May each year.

Four-Year College Scholarship for Academic Excellence and Achievement
$4,000, awarded $1,000 annually for four years
This scholarship is available to students entering a four-year accredited college or university as a freshman in the fall. The scholarship is renewable for the four years of college, provided that the student meets the minimum GPA requirement and current employment in the promotional products industry is maintained by the student or parent. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, essay, resume and optional financial need. Application deadline is March 15.
Chairman’s College Scholarship
$5,000, awarded $2,500 annually for two years
This scholarship is available to students entering their junior year of college, actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in an academic field related to promotional products and expressing an intent to enter the promotional products industry after graduation. The scholarship is renewable for the senior year of college, provided that the student meets the minimum GPA requirement and current employment in the promotional products industry is maintained by the student or parent. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of GPA, essay, resume, letter of recommendation and optional financial need. Application deadline is March 15.
One-Year College Scholarship
$1,000
This scholarship is available to students attending a two-year or four-year accredited undergraduate college or university and taking at least 6 credit hours per semester. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, essay, resume and optional financial need. Application deadline is March 15.

This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who meets all requirements for the One-Year Scholarships. Please use the application for the One-Year Scholarships to apply for this scholarship. Application deadline is March 15.

This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time industry employee for undergraduate or graduate level coursework at an accredited college or university. Application deadline is March 15.
